CrossFit “OPEN 19.2”
This workout was basically a repeat of Open 16.2 (three years ago). At that time, I completed 3 cleans at the third weight of 145 lb in 12 minutes: 256 Reps. This time, I got to attempt the same weight 4 times…but I didn’t stand the 4th rep up in time, so it didn’t count. So, I got the same score for 19.2 as for 16.2.
Well, technically my split time was 6 seconds slower this year, so I scored better in 2016.
In retrospect, there are a couple things I would have done differently. I did too big of sets on the toes-to-bar. They started to fall apart, and I lost my ability to kip sooner than I expected. This cost me time on the barbell.
My double-unders were unbroken in rounds 1 and 2, but I tripped a couple times in round 3. Obviously, that cost me some time, too.
Overall, I’m happy to match my score from 3 years ago. I’m much busier and have less time to workout now than I did then!
AMRAP in (up to) 20 minutes
Beginning on an 8-minute clock, complete as many reps as possible of:
15 Squat Cleans (135/85 lb)
13 squat cleans (185/115 lb)
If completed before 8 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:
11 Squat Cleans (225/145 lb)
If completed before 12 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:
9 Squat Cleans (275/175 lb)
If completed before 16 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:
7 Squat Cleans (315/205 lb)
Time Cap: 20 minutes
